We have 41 days to ensure that climate education is on the minds of voters and political parties/candidates this general election and to that we say, bring it on!
At time of publishing, we have 41 days to ensure that climate education is on the minds of voters and political parties/candidates this general election and to that we say, bring it on!
It’s absolutely vital that youth voice is not drowned out and at Teach the Future we will be working hard to mobilise as many young people as possible to spread the word about how important climate education is, whether this be through engaging with canvassers on the doorstep or attending hustings. An unexpected general election has meant that we will have to adapt some of our planned actions and strategies, however we will not give up on our mission to have solution-centred climate education integrated into the national curriculum by the next government.
Join our General Election campaign launch
On Monday 27th of May at 6pm we will be hosting our General Election campaign launch via Zoom. For the next six weeks, it’ll be all hands on deck to make sure the campaign runs smoothly, and we’d love to welcome as many young people as possible to join us in this crucial work. Sign up to join the call.
Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing guidance on how to get your voice heard before polling day, as well as holding webinars to inform young voters about how to register to vote, how constituencies operate and how to engage with your local candidates before the election - watch this space to find out more!
