Over the past two months, our campaign has made a lot of progress. We’ve onboarded over 20 new youth volunteers, employed 6 campaign coordinators, and started a social media page (Follow us @_TeachTheFuture on Twitter!). But as Teach the Future grows, we have to make more and more decisions that require the support and expertise of adult volunteers.

For this, we are creating our Adult Advisory Board (AAB), a small group of adult volunteers who we will meet regularly (likely monthly) so they can advise us on campaign strategy. This role will require a maximum of 1 hour a week of commitment. We are looking for volunteers with expertise in sustainability and/or education, as well as experience in campaign strategy, or other useful areas.

The AAB will discuss campaign progress and provide advice, as well as volunteer for small tasks if board members have the time and resources to do so. There may also be the opportunity to join occasional working group meetings where this is appropriate to the expertise of the specific advisor.

The adult advisory board will be chosen through an application process over the next few weeks. Applications will be open from the 1st to the 21st of June. If you are interested in joining our advisory board we’d love to hear from you, please fill out this form, which goes into more detail about the role.

If you want to support us in another way, please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Twitter for regular updates on campaign progress.
