We joined other students driving SOS-UK's projects and campaigns, to create the first ever youth-led edition of the NAEE journal.
It's great to be a part of the first ever completely youth-led edition of the NAEE journal! We contributed two articles in the Autumn 2023 edition of the journal which feature alongside other articles written by student staff and young volunteers involved in other awesome campaigns and projects like Teach the Teacher and Mock COP, all supported by SOS-UK.
Emma de Saram, a student trustee for SOS-UK, introduces the edition, sharing "you will hear from a diverse range of youth voices from across our projects and campaigns. I hope, in reading this, you will feel inspired by their vision for a reformed education system, energised by the progress they have already achieved, and heartened by the tangible impact they are having through the projects they lead."
Our articles include:
Teach the Future: what young people want for education - Charlie's article shares more about our campaign, what we've achieved and why you should join us!!
A curriculum for a changing climate - Liv and Niamh interviewed Elena Lengthorn, an academic, about how we are showing how and where sustainability and climate education can be integrated across the curriculum.
Thanks to the NAEE UK for inviting us to contribute to the journal!
