Teach the Future are taking on new volunteers! If you'd like to work with us, sign-up via the "Take Action" tab on our website and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. We only ask two things: you're aged 13 - 26, and based in the UK (you don't need to be a UK national or anything!) We can't wait to meet you all

We’re recruiting new volunteers!

As our crowdfunder came to an end last week and February began, the funds allowed us to take on three new student staff members as volunteer coordinators. Together, they will work to keep individuals in the campaign better informed, connected and looked after, as well as ensuring the campaign as a whole is in agreement and our projects are completed to a high standard.

The Volunteer Coordinators have decided it's time to see some new faces in Teach the Future. So, if you’re age 13 - 26, based in the UK or from the UK and want to give Teach the Future a go we’d love for you to join us! Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or have never done something like this before, we welcome you to join us. For many of our current volunteers, Teach the Future is their first taste of campaigning and they have all fit in wonderfully.

Our volunteers get involved in every part of Teach the Future’s work from running our social media, mailing lists and press communications, to initiating conversations with politicians and deciding where the campaign wants to go next, to formally training each other on the different areas in which we work and educating each other in Climate Justice. You don’t need specific skills to join Teach the Future, this is where you develop them!

We want to highlight that, although it should be a given for any organisation, we’re extending this invitation to everyone regardless of race, nationality, sexuality, gender identity, socio-economic class, ability or disability, and mental health status. The UK population is high in diversity, and we reflect that. We want you to know that this is a safe space for you and we want the public to know that the push for Climate Education and Climate Justice comes from people of every background, and did not start with White-Anglo children in the UK.

To sign-up to volunteer, simply click the “Take Action” tab on our website, click “Volunteer”, fill in the form, and we’ll get back to you in a few days!

Please share this blog with anyone you think would be interested in joining us. Also, be aware that it may be a few weeks before you are officially onboarded as this will be done in larger groups.
