Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

"Yes. The Climate Crisis will affect every aspect of everyday life and this should be reflected on the education of the generation who are unfortunately going to bear the consequences and the responsibility of dealing with it. It should be at the forefront of not only education, but innovation, fundraising and policy making. "
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

"Yes, I do. I believe it's also important to educate on the very real barriers to making the changes necessary (powerful lobbying groups, voter apathy, etc) and critical thinking skills as we must address the rise in conspiracy beliefs and dangerous misinformation online. "
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes. It is important that students have a consistent message and that all our educators are singing from the same hymn book.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

    Yes
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

    Yes
