Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

I'm not sure about every subject, but certainly in classes involving the sciences, at an appropriate level, yes.
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

I think that causes and an impacts are more important. The appropriate solutions will change over time and I wouldn't want a kind of "approved curriculum solution" to dominate or even stifle discussion of other possible solutions.
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

    Yes, absolutely.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

Where it's appropriate, yes. I think some budding are probably behind hope and should be replaced. I'm thinking of old buildings with antiquated heating and insulation. But solar power, battery storage, small scale wind power, absolutely.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

    Yes, absolutely.
