As a member of the Green Party, I support integration of teaching about climate change in all subjects.
It is crucial to give people a sense of hope that we can act on climate change and we need to give young people the tools to do that.
I would support Carbon literacy training for teachers and more in depth training where relevant.
We need to invest in school infrastructure with sustainability as a key requirement. I am keen to see schools working with carbon co-operatives to support the creation of renewables eg solar panels on roofs.
We need an expansion in green skills training to support a just transition to renewables and sustainable buildings and travel.
