Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

As the Green Party candidate for South Suffolk, I wholeheartedly support integrating climate change considerations throughout every subject and policy area. Climate change is a pressing issue that affects all aspects of our lives, and we must address it through a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. As a party, we believe that climate action must be embedded in every policy, from healthcare to education to economic development. I commit to working with experts and communities to ensure that climate change is prioritized in all decision-making processes and that our policies are designed to mitigate its impacts.
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

As the Green Party candidate for South Suffolk, I strongly support teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts. We must equip our young people with the knowledge and skills to understand the urgent need for climate action, as well as the innovative solutions that are already being implemented. By teaching both the science behind climate change and the ways in which we can mitigate its effects, we can empower a new generation of climate leaders and activists who will drive meaningful change.
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes, I strongly support providing more training for all teachers on the climate crisis. As the Green Party candidate for South Suffolk, I believe it's essential that teachers are equipped to educate students about the urgency and impact of climate change, and to empower them to take action to mitigate its effects. This training should cover topics such as climate literacy, sustainability, and environmental education to ensure our children are equipped to tackle this global challenge.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

As the Green Party candidate for South Suffolk, I fully support providing more training for all teachers on the climate crisis. Teachers play a vital role in educating our children about the importance of climate action and empowering them to take action. By offering comprehensive training on climate education, we can ensure that teachers feel confident and equipped to teach the next generation about the causes and consequences of climate change, as well as the solutions and actions we can take to address it.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

As the Green Party candidate for South Suffolk, I strongly support integrating green skills into job-related education to prepare students for the rapidly changing job market and the urgent need for sustainable practices. By incorporating green skills, such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation, we can equip our young people with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a low-carbon economy and help drive a just transition to a sustainable future.
