Absolutely. I'm amazed it is not a stand alone subject on the curriculum already. Climate change will affect every area of people's lives and businesses and careers. Therefore it is vital that it is taught in every subject to prepare everyone for their future lives.
The Greens will introduce an English Climate Emergency Education Act to teach about climate and environmental crises and will enable more outdoor lessons and introduce a new Nature GCSE.
Yes. Teachers are instrumental in passing on the knowledge about climate change and training is essential so that all teachers feel confident passing on this knowledge.
"The Greens will spend £4bn over the next five years to insulate public buildings to a high standard. This is primarily for schools and hospitals, as part of a ten-year programme. £1bn will be made available as grants to retrofit private sector buildings to a similarly high standard."
Again, it is vital our young people are prepared for the future. More Green skills means they will be more prepared for every situation that has been affected by the climate crisis.
